‘Home Base’ is a carefully curated space that welcomes the exploration of the sensual and erotic through the following understanding:

1. As human beings with physical bodies, we always have access to sensation. 

2. With the addition of time, curiosity, and safety, sensation can open into sensuality. 

3. When sensuality meets sexual energy (that is consciously held within clear boundaries and well negotiated consent culture) erotic experiences can bloom.

Putting down as many of our labels, expectations, and stories around sensuality, sex, and eroticism as we can, we will strive to firstly show up as fully human and connect from a space of curiosity and honesty. This is not a space to put on your ‘sexy self’ and demand a certain kind of experience, more a space to invite yourself to explore sensations and desires in a deeply curious, non-judgemental space and see what happens.

What That Will Look Like:

We will start, fully clothed, with an opening circle and platonic touch and connection exercises to awaken and heighten our sense of touch, our ability to communicate, and a sense of feeling welcomed and supported in our selves and within the group. Clear guidance, practice, and expectations around navigating consent and overall safety will be interwoven throughout at the night, especially in this initial period.

We will then soften the edges and be invited to reveal a little more - shed some clothing perhaps, be a little more fully seen and heard in more ways than one.

Dotted around the space will be ‘Elemental Stations’. As a way to help break out of old defaults when it comes to touch, pleasure, and ‘knowing what I like’, we will use ‘Earth, Air, Fire, and Water’ as starting points for sensations… Which may become sensual and/or erotic. (Maybe, maybe, we’re not forcing anything, we’re just exploring.)

Think gentle caresses with feathers in ‘Air’, grounding, pleasurable ‘squishes’ in ‘Earth’, perhaps ice drawn across sensitive skin in ‘Water’, and delicious, spicy hair pulls in ‘Fire’. These are just some of the possibilities, there will be open space and support/guidance for you to explore in your own way. Curious creativity is so, so welcome!

Finally, to close, we will gather and share, and mindfully find ways to transition back to ‘the everyday world’.

*** A significant portion of the event will be directly guided by me. We will work solo, in duos, small groups and the large group. You are welcome to participate to the level you feel comfortable.

Approximately 1.5hrs will be 'free play', but even during this 'free play' the team will be available to help guide individual or small group explorations. :)

Practicalities:

Where: Tinbeerwah, address specifics only given to confirmed attendees a day or two before the event.

When: Saturday 21st February. Doors open 5pm, we officially begin at 5:30pm. Event finishes at 10:30pm. 

How much: From $55 to $85 per person, depending on how early you commit! (Ticket includes snacks for midway munching!)

While this space is welcoming of erotic exploration, it is NOT a sex party. By attending this event, you agree to the following:

• Underwear bottoms stay on.
  

• No penetrative sexual activities.
  

• This is 100% sober, unaltered event.
  

• You will adhere to, and strive for, the clearest, safest approaches to consent possible. You will watch for, and absolutely respect any verbal or non-verbal ‘No’ or ’Stop’ you are given.
  

• You will arrive and participate as a full faceted human.This space is not suitable for those wanting to adhere to a particular kink or fetish. While BDSM dynamics and labels can be juicy AF, this is not the space for them. We will be focusing on real-time exploration of senses and experiences and leaving kink labels and complex sex practices for another time.
  

If you are deemed to be violating any of these agreements you will be asked to leave the event and no refund will be provided.

Anyone who is looking for a mindful experience of sensual and erotic group spaces. Whether you are a complete newbie to these kinds of spaces, or a veteran of all the wildest things, the intention of ‘Home Base’ is to do it more gently than most, with more space for simple curiosity. FAQs/Further clarifications:
What should I wear? (Easiest question first!)

For the start and end of the night - whatever you would wear to regular evening out, something that you feel relaxed and comfortable in as the priority. Something that makes you smile when you look in the mirror on the way out the door.

For the middle of the evening (and the entirely optional de-robing) - still something relatively simple. Lingerie and g-strings welcome, just nothing too 'fancy dress' or 'costumey'. Briefs, boxers all good.

Do I need a partner to attend?
Absolutely not.

While you are of course welcome to attend with your partner, this is not a partner-centred event. We are interested in what you are desiring, as an individual.

We want to hear you, specifically you, speak. We want to witness you in your absolutely unique constellation of expression. Yes, relational interconnectedness is so, so, so important... And, you are the only one who will inhabit your body from first breath to last, we want to deeply honour that irreplicable experience.

We are focused on each person as an individual

Couples are very welcome, but it is not a couple’s centric event. There will be large group, small group, duo, and individual exercises in the guided portion of the night. However, it is absolutely possible to craft the free play space to stay 'exclusive' in your couple if you like.

Is this a queer friendly event?
Yes.

While I acknowledge that I undoubtedly carry certain biases and privilege from the lived experience of being a predominantly heterosexual, cisgendered woman, as the leader of this space, I do my best to lead in a way that is not harmfully heteronormative and is deeply respectful of each individual's core personhood. None of the guided activities are divided by gender or sexual preferences. We are all in this together as curious humans. (I am also open to conscious feedback if you feel I, or my team, demonstrate any harmful blind spots in this area. Or any area of the event!)

We are more interested in your human self than your gender

The guided portion of the night will not revolve around gender. Instead we will focus on the pleasure possible in connecting through our shared human animal experience.

Will there be a good mix of genders?

Yes.

At present, my events seem to be really naturally attracting an excellent mix of genders (and ages).

I keep a general eye on things and will adjust ticketing options if needs be, but thus far it's always rolled out well organically.

As far as I know, Home Base is the only event in this category that doesn't separate tickets by gender. I like this point of difference. (I also object on principle to having different prices based on gender, so I'm very much hoping to keep naturally attracting a good mix.)

Will people cum? Will there be genital contact?

This is an underwear on, non-penetrative space, so there will be no direct genital contact. Thrusting, grinding, and groping over underwear is welcome though if it's deliciously consensual between playmates!

As for cumming.. Maybe yes, maybe no. I'd say the intention is more towards orgasmic experiences rather than classic 'peak orgasms'. We are definitely not collectively chasing any specific erotic experience. The intention is curiosity, sensuality, mindful exploration... It can definitely get juicy, but there definitely won't be random bodily fluids flying around!

I'm worried I'm going to have some kind of overwhelm or shutdown, do I have to do the exercises/participate in anything specific?

Absolutely not.

While there is a lot of encouragement in the space to lean in, you NEED to honour your own personal boundaries and capacity above all else. You are so, so welcome to momentarily sit out or choose to modify your participation in any of the exercises so that it feels safe for you.

(It is ideal if you can stay in the space for the whole event, but if you really need to leave, please let me or one of the team know. By attending you agree to me following you up afterwards to make sure you have the aftercare you need.)

Emotional & physical safety will be addressed from multiple angles before, during, and after the event.

(There will be absolutely NO photography or general phone usage in the space.)

The team are a group of curious humans with collective experience in body work, s.x work, and other movement and pleasure practices. Think of them as peers welcoming you into a new playground we’re all exploring together.

About your host:
Assisted by an able team of sensual & erotic explorers, this adventure will be lead by me, Gabriella Salmon. Amongst other qualifications and experience, I am a degree qualified counsellor with a Grad. Cert. in Mental Health and Neuroscience. I have over 15 years experience leading and mentoring people from all walks of life, using a wide range of creative practices. Vocal expression, creative writing, drumming, platonic touch, movement, and more. I currently regularly teach acroyoga, offer workshops on the art of facilitating, lead ‘Home Base’ and ‘Platonic Pleasure’ sessions, and am a qualified yoga teacher and massage therapist.

Interpersonal pleasure (both erotic and platonic), sensual self-love, and wholistic intimacy are areas I am deeply passionate about, both personally and professionally, and I offer the experiences I do because they are specifically the kinds of spaces and processes my body and heart longs for and I either couldn’t find them at all, or I couldn’t find enough of them, so I offer them.
