This course is for eager and creative young minds! No coding experience needed! All levels of experience welcome, as this course is adaptable to each student and plenty of time is given for kids to independently work and learn or extend on current abilities.

Using Python code, kids will be learning to use the python turtle library to create their own art on-screen. It's like drawing, but you must instruct the pen to move. It's quite simple, and super fun!

Over this 2-day course, kids will go from no-coding to whizzes! The first day will include them gaining an understanding of python code, completing a number of practice codes and designs to learnt how it works, and ending with a mini-project as a group. The second day will consist of a brief recap, some planning time, and majority of time will be spent creating their own projects. The kids will be guided on their practice codes and projects, but it really is up to their imagination and problem-solving skills to boost their coding experience!

Many opportunities throughout the workshop will allow kids to consolidate and expand their learning, and hopefully the coding adventures will continue after the course's conclusion!

It's meant to be an enjoyable way to learn the art of Python code, guided by myself, but lead by the kids' imaginations.

A short snack break will be provided partway through each afternoon.

Photos or short videos may be taken of your child during the course for future promotional benefits, and will be shared amongst parents. Please be sure to opt out when registering if you DO NOT want any photos or videos of your child to be taken.
