The Short Fall is kicking off 2026 with a headlining single launch party at Black Bear Lodge on Saturday, 10 January, alongside Brisbane’s Radial Delay and Gold Coast up-and-comers Lorien Layne. The Short Fall is the musical moniker of Central Queensland indie-rocker Angelo Conway. Together with his band of compadres, they’ve earned a reputation as one of the hardest-working acts in regional Australia.

Over the past 18 months, The Short Fall has shared the stage with iconic Australian artists like Thirsty Merc, Jon Stevens, Birds of Tokyo, Eskimo Joe, and The Screaming Jets. Their sound blends earnest early-2000s alternative rock with influences like Oasis, Powderfinger, and The Goo Goo Dolls—bringing a nostalgic yet fresh energy to the Queensland music scene.
